The Butter Factory
The cooperative butter factory opened in 1892 and operated until 1913, when its owner opened a new factory in Birregurra. The Deans Marsh factory was located where the present day Deans Marsh - Birregurra Rd intersects with the Pennyroyal Creek. Originally, farmers brought their milk to the factory to make cream. Later on, butter was produced on site.
