Looking north at the Deans Marsh township 1895. The blacksmith/wheelwright shop on the right (with the Community Hall roof just visible behind the blacksmith sheds). On the left is "The Halfway House" or combined store and hotel. At its peak "The Halfway House" could supply lunchtime meals for 120 Mountjoy coach passengers who were travelling between Lorne and Winchelsea.
